Here’s a key tactic that our woke overlords* use to sow division:
They take a wrong that everyone suffers and only come to the aid of the victims they like.
A great example of this is the current moral panic over black “oppression.” We are told by our woke overlords that “white supremacy” and “systemic” anti-black racism are running amok in this country. And the proof of this accusation couldn’t be clearer. Black Americans, after all, suffer crime every day and some of the crime they suffer is racially motivated.
But hold on. Black Americans surely suffer a lot of racially motivated crime. But so do white Americans. Moreover, while anti-black discrimination isn’t legal in any jurisdiction in America, anti-white discrimination is legal in many jurisdictions in America (hello, affirmative action). So why don’t our woke overlords also wring their hands over “black supremacy” and “systemic” anti-white racism?
The sad truth of the matter is that our woke overlords like black people and don’t like white people. So they react to any statistic, policy, or crime that smacks of anti-black bias with terabytes of media, hyperbolic rhetoric, and a messianic drive to fix it. For any statistic, policy, or crime that smacks of anti-white bias, they react with an “oh well” shrug or a sneering “boo-hoo” mock of delight.
The notion that black America is being oppressed is a scam. We’re being horribly manipulated by our woke overlords. And until the day I retire this blog, I will dedicate one post a year to exposing the myth of black oppression. This post is the 2021 installment of that myth-busting vow.
* Quick aside: By woke overlords, I’m referring to the liberal “progressives” who dominate education, journalism, entertainment, Big Tech, Big Business, and Big Government (i.e., our most culture-shaping and thought-shaping institutions).
Black Americans Aren’t Being “Hunted”
In the wake of the Ahmaud Arbery killing, Lebron James tweeted the following:
“We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes.”
Talk about hyperbolic rhetoric! But I really can’t blame Lebron for this idiotic tweet. I’m assuming that Lebron gets his news from mainstream sources (i.e., woke, liberal/”progressive” dominated sources), and if he, like most Americans, assumes that mainstream sources are honest brokers of the news, it really does look like black Americans are “literally being hunted every day.”
To our mainstream news, racism means only one thing: it means whites behaving poorly towards blacks. It never means the opposite. And our mainstream news is obsessed with this twisted definition of racism—especially when it comes to “racist” homicides.
Try a simple test. First, ask yourself the following:
How many black Americans can you name off the top of your head (no googling allowed) that were recently killed unjustly or under questionable circumstances by white Americans?
I can name seven—and for at least a decade now, I’ve made it a point to avoid mainstream news with extreme prejudice.

Now try to name one white American off the top of your head (again, no googling allowed) that was recently killed unjustly or under questionable circumstances by a black American.
The odds are that you can’t name one.
And this inability is pretty shocking, especially when you consider that in 2019 alone, there were at least 566 whites murdered by blacks.
“Oh, Well” Five-Year-Old Person Without Color
Here’s a perfect example of how corrupt our mainstream news is. Last year, a 25-year-old black man put a gun to the back of a five-year-old white child’s head and pulled the trigger. The murdered child’s name was Cannon Hinnant. Have you ever heard of Cannon Hinnant? The below YouTuber aptly sums up the wanton hypocrisy of our mainstream news:
Sadly, black Americans are very inclusive when it comes to perpetrating inter-group homicides. Here are some recent examples of what I mean:

When it comes to inter-group “hunting,” black Americans are on the “hunter” side way more than they are on the “hunted” side. But we will never have a national conversation about this because our mainstream news will never abandon the blacks-are-oppressed narrative.

“Okay,” I hear the cynic in you protesting, “whites engage is far less inter-group homicides than blacks. But maybe that’s because they don’t have to. Maybe whites let the police do their dirty work.”
That many Americans see our police as the “point of the spear of white supremacy” is perfectly understandable. That’s the narrative that is being aggressively pushed by our mainstream news. But this narrative couldn’t be further from the truth. And if you don’t believe me, let’s look at the “hunting” statistics of our “racist” police.
Our Remarkably Color-Blind Police
The Washington Post provides an excellent downloadable spreadsheet on police killings. Here’s the breakdown of police killings for our four major demographic groups over the past six years (percent of all police killings for the given year are in parenthesis for each group).

These numbers are clearly problematic. Whites are slightly underrepresented in police killings, Asians are very underrepresented, Hispanics are evenly represented, and blacks are very overrepresented.
But unequal results don’t necessarily mean bias. Whites are very underrepresented in the NBA and blacks are very overrepresented. Does this mean the NBA is anti-white?
The key variable that’s missing from the above data is police interaction. In order to be killed by the police, you have to interact with them. If you don’t interact with the police, the odds of you being killed by the police are zero.
To gauge interaction with the police, I used FBI arrest data. If you know of a better way to measure this variable, please let me know. Anyway, here are the police killings per 100,000 arrests for our four demographic groups (police killings for the given year are in parenthesis after the arrest count for each group).
Quick aside: I don’t have police killings per 100,000 arrests for 2020 because FBI arrest data for this year hasn’t been published yet.
Another quick aside: Hispanic is not a race. There are white and black Hispanics. According to the US Census Bureau, 88 percent of Hispanics are white and 12 percent are black. In an effort to avoid double-dipping, then, I took 88 percent of the Hispanic arrest count off the white arrest count and 12 percent of the Hispanic arrest count off the black arrest count.

When you control for police interaction, the “hunting” proclivities of our police for our four demographic groups change considerably. Blacks on average, for instance, only suffer 1.26 more police killings per 100,000 arrests than whites do. And they suffer on average 2.43 and 6.57 fewer police killings per 100,000 arrests than Hispanics and Asians do, respectively. Also of note in the above table, average police killings per 100,000 arrests for blacks are less than the average police killings per 100,000 arrests for all races and ethnicities combined (12.41 vs. 12.6).
The discrepancies that remain are partly the result of incomplete arrest data on Hispanics. Of the 8,248,709 arrests tallied by the FBI in 2015, for instance, only 6,546,220 arrests had ethnicity data. And of these 6,546,220 arrests, 18.4 percent of the arrestees were Hispanic.
Now, what are the odds that there were no Hispanic arrestees in the 1,702,489 arrests without ethnicity data?
I’m going out on the limb here and assuming that those odds are incredibly small. White and black arrests are thus overreported, and Hispanic arrests are underreported. When we control for missing Hispanic arrest data and extrapolate the percentage of Hispanic arrests from known-ethnicity arrests to the unknown-ethnicity arrests, the discrepancies between our four demographic groups narrow even further (again, police killings for the given year are in parenthesis after the arrest count for each group).

A Tale of Two Databases
When you control for police interaction and missing Hispanic arrest data, our police don’t look like they have a particularly egregious preference for “hunting” black Americans. Blacks on average now only suffer 0.91 more police killings per 100,000 arrests than whites do. But discrepancies remain, and while I was scrutinizing the WaPo data, I noticed something interesting. Check it out.

The WaPo database had a lot of police killings in which the race and ethnicity of the killed were unknown. And it seemed like a lot of the killed with unknown race and ethnicity lived in rural counties and towns and had white-sounding names. So I went to the internet and starting googling names that had unknown race and ethnicity in the WaPo database, and while I was doing this, I stumbled upon another police killings database called Fatal Encounters. And luckily, this database did a nice job of filling in the missing race and ethnicity data.

By using the Fatal Encounters database, I was able to find the race and ethnicity of 182 killed that the WaPo database recorded with unknown race and ethnicity. And sure enough, the bulk of these 182 killed were white.

Is the Fatal Encounters database legit? I think so. Its founder and executive director looks like he’s only concerned with facts and not trying to push an agenda. But who knows? He might be a right-wing hack.
But let’s assume for the moment that the Fatal Encounters database is legit. What would happen if we took the average find-rate in the above table for our four demographic groups and extrapolated those find-rates over the remaining killings that have unknown race and ethnicity data in the WaPo database? Here are the results.

When you control for the missing Hispanic arrest data, and when you control for the missing race and ethnicity data in the WaPo database, the difference in the number of police killings per 100,000 arrests practically disappears for whites, blacks, and Hispanics. Blacks on average only suffer 0.35 and 0.34 more police killings per 100,000 arrests than whites and Hispanics do, respectively.
Quick aside. If our police are “hunting” anyone, it looks like they have a preference for “hunting” Asian-Americans. Is this the result of bias? I don’t think so. It looks like the Asian community has its share of psycho criminals who fight the police too. But Asian arrestees, on the whole, are probably much less likely to fight the police than white, black, and Hispanic arrestees are, and this is what’s driving its out-of-whack killings per 100,000 arrests number.
Do Blacks Make Less Than Whites?
Do blacks make less than whites? Do bears poop in the woods? We are told by our woke overlords that nothing proves systemic anti-black racism more than household income statistics. After all, black household income is considerably less than white household income. In 2019, for instance, black household income was only 62.9 percent of white household income (see “white alone” and “black alone” spreadsheets under the Total section).

But race is only one variable when it comes to household income statistics. Two other important variables are marriage and age. Households with married couples are apt to earn more than households with one adult because married coupled households are more apt to have two wage earners rather than one. And households headed by older adults are apt to earn more than households headed by younger adults because older workers usually make more than younger workers.
Two reasons why black households earn less than white households are because black households are less likely to comprise a married couple and black households are younger. When we compare the household incomes of white married couples under the age of 35 to the household incomes of black married couples under the age of 35, for instance, the income gap narrows considerably (see “white alone” and “black alone” spreadsheets under the Married-Couple Families section).

Another important variable when it comes to household income statistics is where a household is located. The south, for instance, has the lowest incomes of the four regions that make up the United States. And I know this fact intimately. When I relocated from Long Island to Charlotte in 2006, my income dropped from $76,000 annually to $43,000 annually.
After we control for marital status and age, some of the income gap that remains between white and black households can be explained by geography. Black Americans are more prevalent in the south, the region with the lowest incomes, and white Americans are more prevalent in the west and midwest, the regions with the second and third highest incomes (see the “white alone” and “black alone” spreadsheets under the Family Income section).

Finally, household income statistics are also shaped by education. Those who obtain postsecondary degrees tend to earn more than those with only a high school degree. And on the postsecondary degree front, whites do slightly better than blacks. Check it out.

After we controlled for marital status and age, there was a 12.3 percent income gap between white and black households. How much of that gap can be explained by region and education is hard to say. I couldn’t find any income statistics that controlled for marital status, age, region, and education. But I got to believe that the variables of region and education explain at least half of the 12.3 percent income gap. So when we control for just four variables—marital status, age, region, and education—the difference in household income between whites and blacks practically disappears. A black couple living in the south, in which both spouses are 30 years old and both have a bachelor’s degree, will have the same household income (plus or minus five percent) as a white couple living in the south, in which both spouses are 30 years old and both have a bachelor’s degree.

When it comes to group income statistics, the main driver of inequality can be summed up by the admonition, “Do less wrong.” Groups that “do less wrong” and engage in less self-sabotage do better than groups that “do more wrong” and engage in more self-sabotage.
The reason why blacks have a lower median household income than whites is not because of “systemic racism.” The reason why blacks have a lower median household income than whites is the same reason why whites have a lower median household income than Asians: systemic self-sabotage. Blacks have a lower median household income than whites because blacks engage in more self-sabotage than whites, and whites have a lower median household income than Asians because whites engage in more self-sabotage than Asians.
Black Privilege: The Privilege That Dare Not Speak Its Name
When I began this post, I pointed out a key tactic that our woke overlords use to sow division:

Well, there’s a corollary to this tactic that our woke overlords also use to sow division, and here it is:
They take a wrong that everyone enjoys and only call out the beneficiaries they don’t like.
A prime example of this is the concept of “privilege.” We are told by our woke overlords that “privilege” is when a person receives an unearned advantage—a child, for instance, is born to parents with great wealth. And we are also told by our woke overlords that white people are chock full of “white privilege,” and this is a major problem.
White Americans no doubt have privilege. There are tons of white Americans with great innate looks, brains, and talent. And there are also tons of white babies born every year to families with comfortable incomes and worthwhile connections.
But couldn’t the same thing be said about black Americans? There are tons of black Americans with great innate looks, brains, and talent. And there are also tons of black babies born every year to families with comfortable incomes and worthwhile connections. How come we never hear our woke overlords complain about “black privilege”?
Again, our woke overlords like black people and dislike white people. Their privilege-checking crusade thus falls entirely on the unearned advantages of white people.
In the interest of equity, then, I’m going to do what our woke overlords refuse to do: I’m going to privilege-check black America. But unlike our woke overlords, I’m not going to privilege-check black America over benign privilege. I’m not going to point the steely finger of indignation at any successful black adult because he or she grew up in a loving two-parent home that stressed education, hard work, and discipline. Nope, I’m going to privilege-check black America over noxious privilege—that is, privilege that is imposed by some authority (i.e., the government or corporate America), and either comes at the expense of someone’s inalienable rights or makes our society more ignorant, dysfunctional, and coarse than it need be. Here we go.
Affirmative Action (I.E., Pro-Black Jim Crow)
In many jurisdictions in America, you can legally discriminate in favor of black Americans. This is particularly true in higher education. No Ivy League college expects its black acceptees to have the same SAT scores as its white and Asian acceptees. In many cases, black acceptees have SAT scores several hundred points below their white and Asian counterparts.
Affirmative action is also prominent in hiring and contracting. And now, thanks to the moral panic over black “oppression,” it’s starting to metastasize into other areas of life. Here are some examples of what I mean:
Basic income programs in California: Poor whites need not apply.
Math help: White students need not apply.
Covid-relief help for small businesses: Small white businesses need not apply.
Biden Debt Relief for Farmers Program: White farmers need not apply.
Free Seattle Pride event: Except if you are a white attendee.
Chicago mayor is open to interviews: Except if the interviewer happens to be a white journalist.
If the Results Don’t Fit, the Accessories to Such “Crimes” Must Split
Earlier this year, Boston Public Schools (BPS) suspended its test for advanced learning classes. Apparently, too many kids who passed this test and were participating in advanced learning classes were white and Asian. Superintendent Brenda Cassellius commented as follows:
“There’s a lot of work we have to do in the district to be antiracist and have policies where all of our students have a fair shot at an equitable and excellent education.”
After the hullabaloo that ensued following the announcement of the test suspension, BPS rushed in to clarify: The test wasn’t suspended over equity concerns, it was suspended because “the pandemic made it impossible to administer the test.”
Okay. If that’s the case, why didn’t BPS just say that? Why did it also bring up concerns over “equity” in its announcement?
I call bullcrap on the clarification. Our woke overlords are extremely vexed by black underachievement, and they’ve been struggling mightily over the past 50 years to rectify it. And since they’ve failed miserably at this objective, they’ve now moved on to the only option they have left: capitulation. Not enough blacks in advanced classes? Get rid of advanced classes. Not enough blacks in elite colleges? Get rid of the SAT. Too many blacks in prison? Get rid of cops, get rid of bail, and get rid of laws that target shoplifting, graffiti, and drug possession.
The Closing of the American Journalist’s Mind
When I was growing up, journalism was based on the 5 Ws: who, what, when, where, and why. So when a particularly egregious crime was committed, newspapers and television news matter-of-factly included descriptions of the bad guys:
“The shooter is described as a black male in his 20s, 5-foot-9, 160 pounds.”
“The rapist is described as a white male in his 40s, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds.”
“The kidnapper is described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, 5-foot-8, 140 pounds.”
But all that is out the window today. Sticking to the 5 Ws today would blow a gaping hole in the blacks-are-oppressed narrative that our woke overlords are so committed to.
Here are four ways our woke overlords have sacrificed journalistic integrity in order to protect “the narrative”:
- It’s taboo to state the race of the suspect. Even when journalists have video of the crime and the race of the suspect is patently obvious, they won’t dare make note of the suspect’s race. But when a police officer shoots a black person, and the police officer is white, they can’t refer to the officer’s race enough.
- If the suspect of a heinous crime is black, and the motive is unclear, the default explanation for his or her actions is either mental health or poverty (see here and here). It’s never hip-hop culture, it’s never racism, and it’s never the anti-America and anti-white rhetoric being voiced by our woke overlords on a daily basis.
- When the police shoot someone under questionable circumstances, do our vaunted journalists ever refer to the “epidemic of gun violence”? No. They don’t give agency to an inanimate object. If the police use their guns irresponsibly or maliciously, our vaunted journalists have no problem shouting “police brutality.” But when it comes to “civilian brutality,” our vaunted journalists never hold civilians accountable. It’s always the gun’s fault. Guns are just running around and jumping into peoples’ hands and going off.
- Also, whenever there’s a police shooting, do our vaunted journalists ever refer to the incident as a “traffic stop gone wrong,” or an “arrest gone wrong”? No, they don’t. And for good reason. Police don’t have a license to shoot someone just because that someone deviated slightly from some script that everyone supposedly knows. But our vaunted journalists have no problem describing an everyday murder as a “robbery gone wrong” or a “home invasion gone wrong.” Apparently, in the civilian world, victims have to abide by a well-known script, and if they deviate ever so slightly from it—they move too slow or make eye contact with the criminal—the criminal has no choice but to shoot. So it’s really not the criminal’s fault that the victim winds up in a hospital or a grave.
Black Crime
A while back, I clicked on a YouTube video from a New York City news station about a disturbing crime. And since that fateful day, YouTube has been feeding me an endless supply of such videos. Check it out.
Damn. In every video I see of a disturbing crime in New York City, the suspect is almost always black.
Does this reflect the reality of life in the Big Apple? Or are local New York City news stations cherry-picking the videos of disturbing crimes in an effort to foment anti-black sentiment?
To find out, I went to NYC Open Data and downloaded a dataset of all the crimes reported to the New York City Police Department (NYPD) as of March 31, 2021.
In the first three months of this year, NYPD fielded 91,066 complaints. Twenty-eight thousand, four hundred and two of these complaints, in turn, were for felonies. And of these felonies, I chose the ones that fell into the most disturbing categories. Here are those categories:
MURDER & NON-NEGLIGENT MANSLAUGHTER
HOMICIDE-NEGLIGENT-VEHICLE
RAPE
ROBBERY
FELONY ASSAULT
DANGEROUS WEAPONS
Finally, I took the most disturbing felonies—which amounted to 8,648—and selected the ones where the race and ethnicity of the suspect were known. There were 6,405 such disturbing felonies, and here’s how the race and ethnicity of those suspects played out:

Nope. It doesn’t look like local news stations up in New York are going out of their way to make black New Yorkers look bad. Black New Yorkers are way overrepresented when it comes to committing violent crimes. And they are more than likely way overrepresented when it comes to committing those visceral crimes that sully New York’s quality of life and reputation.
New York City crime, unfortunately, is a microcosm of the United States. When we look at the United States as a whole, the same disturbing pattern appears: black Americans are way overrepresented when it comes to committing violent crimes.
Below is a table showing the homicide suffer rates by race and ethnicity in the United States in 2019. It was compiled using CDC data on homicides.

The black homicide rate speaks very poorly of black America. And this is so because a group’s homicide rate is a good proxy for a group’s affinity for violent crime. How so? Well, first, most homicides are murder and not lawful self-defense, and a large portion of murders—90 to 95 percent—are intra-group, meaning white on white, black on black, etc. A high homicide-suffer rate thus equates to a high homicide-carry-out rate. Second, it’s highly unlikely that a group’s affinity for murder is markedly different than its affinity for other violent crimes. In other words, a group with a high murder rate is unlikely to have a low robbery or assault rate.
The black homicide rate is a freakin’ disgrace. If black America were its own country, it would have the 16th highest homicide rate in the world.

The United States has so much going for it. One of the things that makes a mockery of American exceptionalism, however, is violent crime. Japan’s homicide rate is a meager 0.28, less than two percent of black America’s homicide rate. But we will never have a national conversation about our violent crime problem because the main driver of it is black America and our woke overlords are loathe to hold black America accountable for anything.
Official Victim of Big Education, Big Journalism, and Big Entertainment
Black Americans are the official victims of big education, big journalism, and big entertainment. As such, anything bad that happens to black America will be amplified and racialized by our leading educators, journalists, and entertainers.
Conversely, anything that makes a mockery of the blacks-are-oppressed narrative is ignored by big education, big journalism, and big entertainment. Our leading educators, journalists, and entertainers will thus…
- Never racialize the cruel things that black Americans do to non-black Americans.
- Never make note of the billions of dollars spent annually on “systemic kindness” (i.e., K-12 education, TANF, and Medicaid).
- Never glorify the thousands of pro-black love legalities* that take place daily in this country.
- And, never, under any circumstances, make an issue of the tremendous amount of self-sabotage that black America inflicts upon itself (i.e., having children they can’t afford, not taking education seriously, and engaging in a shocking amount of crime).
* Quick aside: A love legality is the opposite of a hate crime. It’s when someone of one race or ethnicity purposely goes out of his or her way to do something kind to someone of another race or ethnicity.
Whitey Is Always the Villain When It Comes to Unequal Results for Blacks
Here’s the game our woke overlords play when it comes to delivering the “evidence” that unequivocally “proves” the blacks-are-oppressed narrative:
One: If the 30,00o-foot view has the “racism” you want, stop. A prime example of this is the police killing statistics we explored at the beginning of this post. Blacks are overrepresented in the number of police killings, so there’s no reason to delve further. America and whitey are racist.
Two: If the 30,000-foot view doesn’t quite have the “racism” you want, get rid of the Asians. Great examples of this are income and education statistics. Asian Americans are kicking ass when it comes to household income, SAT scores, and enrollment at our nation’s elite colleges. And if they’re included in our 30,000-foot view, America and whitey don’t look so racist. So to fix this, you just ignore Asian data. You never compare black household income and SAT scores to Asian household income and SAT scores. You only compare black household income and SAT scores to white household income and SAT scores.
Finally, three: If the 30,000-foot view doesn’t have any evidence of racism, delve until you find some. And if you can’t find any after extensive delving, spike the story altogether. A great example of this is interracial or inter-group crime. There’s far more black-on-white, black-on-Hispanic, and black-on-Asian crime than there is white-on-black, Hispanic-on-black, and Asian-on-black crime. And there’s no way to spin the crime data to make blacks look like some saintly group that’s under siege from other groups. So the only option a good woke overlord has left is to completely ignore the issue.
Blacks Can’t Be Racist
Suppose for the moment that I hated Asian people and wanted to be cruel to them. Suppose also that I didn’t want to be known as a racist. Could I then satisfy these mutually exclusive wants by moving to an Asian country? After all, according to our woke overlords, one has to have political “power” in order to be racist. So if I moved to an Asian country, I would lose my political power, and I would thus have a license to be racist toward Asians.
This is the woke logic that frees black America from any charges of racism. Blacks, at 13.4 percent of the population, don’t have the numbers necessary to control the government, and since they can’t enact pro-black Jim Crow laws on their own—they would need the help of other racial and ethnic groups—they lack “power,” and any untoward prejudices they have for other races and ethnicities are thus irrelevant.
I have three main problems with this racism loophole.
First, why do blacks get a pass on racism when they do racist things to other groups that lack power? In other words, is it racist when a black American is cruel to, say, an Asian American for being Asian? And if it isn’t, why? Why does the racism loophole hinge only on the power deficit of the perpetrator? Shouldn’t the power deficit of the victim render the racism loophole null and void?
Second, we are constantly reminded by our woke overlords how morally superior black Americans are to white Americans (see here, here, here, here, and here). So if this is the case, black Americans would never use political power to enact pro-black Jim Crow laws—right? Condemning the politically weak to second-class citizenship is something only morally inferior white Americans would do. Why then do black Americans get a pass on racism for lacking a power they wouldn’t use even if they had it?
Finally, third, why is political power the only power that matters when it comes to racism? Black Americans certainly have the power to ruin someone’s day or end someone’s life. And if they use this power to target whites and Asians, why shouldn’t such behavior be recognized as the epitome of racism? Political power matters but physical power doesn’t? That doesn’t make any sense to my benighted brain.
Asymmetrical Responsibilities
Throughout our whole moral panic over black “oppression,” there’s been one constant: Only whites, in general, and our police, in particular, have to be fixed. According to our woke overlords, blacks are perfect. There’s absolutely nothing they need to improve.
Really? Black Americans have absolutely no culpability in the amount of social pathology they suffer? Having fewer children out of wedlock, taking education more seriously, engaging in less crime—none of these things will do anything to improve the circumstances of black America?
It takes two to tango. Businesses are flawed, AND black employees and customers are flawed too. Public schools are flawed, AND black parents and students are flawed too. Politicians, police, prosecutors, judges, and correction officers are flawed, AND black citizens are flawed too—especially, young black male citizens. And if things are going to get better in America, everyone has to do better—even black Americans. But you would never know this if you only listened to our woke overlords and never questioned the approved narrative they shove down our throats 24-7-365.
Chauvinism for Me But Not for Thee
Imagine if a white entertainer came out and said it was “important to keep wealth in the white community.” And imagine further if this same white entertainer went on to say:
“I think that voting is important, but I think that voting coupled with economic importance should be our priority right now. We should not only be voting to get people in office that we think are going to be nice to us, we should be voting to get people in office that are going to make sure city contracts go to people who look like us so that we can be employing people that look like us.”
How quickly would this white entertainer be canceled? How many bottles of smelling salts would be needed to revive all the SJWs who caught wind of this white entertainer’s racial chauvinism?
But this very same racial chauvinism was exhibited by a black entertainer in a recent Yahoo Finance article, and no one considered it unseemly—not the black entertainer, not Yahoo Finance, and certainly not the hundreds of thousands of “anti-racists” who are armed with a Twitter account. Yep, there’s no social imperative for black Americans to be neutral when it comes to race. They can be black supremacists to their heart’s content.
Empathy for Me But Not for Thee
Have you ever seen black Americans protest against an injustice perpetrated against a white American—especially when the perpetrator of the injustice is black? I saw plenty of white Americans protesting the murder of George Floyd. How come black Americans are way more parochial than white Americans when it comes to raging against injustice?
Again, there’s no social imperative for black Americans to be neutral when it comes to race. They have no moral obligation to care about the treatment of white, Hispanic, and Asian Americans. They only have to care about the treatment of themselves. And if any black American dares to rise above tribalism and exhibits empathy for another race or ethnicity, he or she is vilified as an “Uncle Tom,” an “Oreo,” or a “coon.”
Final Thoughts

You’re a brave man Mr Groovy, and posts like this are needed to give some balance. Yet most working whites would be terrified to make a post like this because they’ed fear they’d lose their jobs. Even some early retired individuals are afraid to voice their opinion such as when Steve Adcock of Think, Save, Retire was bullied by Tanya Hester into deleting his comment supporting you.
I’ve been struck by some of the BLM protests that occurred pre-election that I’ve seen on the news. In numerous of these protests, almost everyone was white! I wondered if a lot of these white protestors were hired by political organizations? Especially in view that these BLM protests have decreased dramatically post election.
I think the media is being grossly dishonest in their reporting of crime committed by blacks. It seems if a white commits a heinous crime against a black, races are reported. But when a black commits a heinous crime against a white, media often neglects to report the race and I only find out by doing further research myself.
Everyone has a right to their opinion. And weakly labeling opinions racist, to avoid facts, is not honest or truthful.
I like to think I’m brave. But would I rail against woke dogma and injustice if I wasn’t financially independent and I needed the income from this blog and a job?
All I know is that I discovered early on in life that the elite in any environment doesn’t have a monopoly on virtue and wisdom. In high school, my elite classmates said it wasn’t cool to associate with nerds. In college, my elite classmates said it wasn’t cool to associate with foreign nerds, especially the foreign nerds from Asia. And not too long after college, I realized that I missed out on not having nerd friends in high school and college. My life at that point might have been on a much better trajectory had I not been so gullible.
Our country’s elite now says it’s not cool to care about white people. In order to be with the in-crowd, we have to fetishize black Americans and be hostile to the inalienable rights of white Americans. Well, I’m not buying it. Our country’s elite is just as narrowminded and wrong as my high school and college elites. And I’m going to call them out on their stupidity and evil until the knock on the door in the middle of the night comes and I’m shipped off to a re-education camp.

So, I was sitting in a room full of smart intellectual white people (a Jordan Peterson meet-up) and the topic moved to BLM, CRT and related topics of contemporary identity Marxism. The youngest among us described their racial sensitivity college classes that consisted of a number of privileged white students being told by a privileged white lecturer what it’s like to be black.
At this moment I vowed to never, ever take seriously anything said by a person of race X about the plight of race Y.
In any conversation, you must first ascertain that 1) the person is telling the truth and 2) the person knows what s/he’s talking about. If I have injured a person of another race, please specify the harm incurred, and make a convincing case of my guilt before expecting me to pay any sort of reparations for my actions.
And if you’re going to talk about slavery, let me point out my great-grandfather Poling injured at the battle of Shiloh and my great-grandfather Rowe injured at the battle of Gettysburg. Those injuries ruined their health and shortened their lives. If some great-great grandchildren want reparations for slavery, this great-great grandchild wants reparations for the cost in blood and treasure of ending slavery.

Civil war soldiers got paid, and also got a pension. I’m not sure how you feel entitled to reparations when comparing your ancestors to enslaved people who were not paid and were not given the land they were promised after they were freed. Presumably the wives of your ancestor veterans were not raped and their children were not taken from them. Certainly your ancestors were not denied a mortgage as people of color were.

But his ancestors didn’t enslave anyone, didn’t rape anyone, didn’t deny a mortgage to anyone, and didn’t promise land to anyone. His ancestors just shed blood, sweat, and tears to end a war and a “peculiar institution” that they didn’t start. No one deserves reparations for slavery–not the descendants of slaves nor the descendants of Northern Civil War vets. It rewards people who didn’t suffer and punishes people who didn’t profit. I understand the sentiment, but there is no just way to punish the long-dead culprits of slavery–the Brits, the Southern Aristrocacy, and the Africans who sold slaves to Europeans–and reward the long-dead victims of slavery–the slaves, of course, and the white rabble who fought and died to end slavery.

Racially motivated crimes against black Americans are far less common than our woke overlords would have us believe. What we need is a thorough audit of crime–who does what to whom and why.
