The Victim Mentality Versus the Civilizational Mentality

One of the bedrock tenets of Woke Crow is the sacred belief that “marginalized” people are above suspicion. “Colonizers” aren’t allowed to use pattern recognition. Everyone tasked with safekeeping civilization must assume there are no group differences when it comes to crime. The 15-year-old “teen” gangbanger who loudly enters a store poses no greater threat to the shopkeeper’s profitability than the octogenarian Asian lady who daintily enters behind a walker.

Here’s a perfect example of the “suspicion privilege” wrought by Woke Crow:

Security guards still following me around shops—it’s blatant racism

Some years ago, while I was in my 20s, I had a second full-time job at a warehouse. One night, while three of my co-workers and I were driving to a Chicken Delight for dinner, we got pulled over by the police. They wanted to know why four young white dudes were driving through a black neighborhood at 8 o’clock at night.

Neither I nor my co-workers were upset with the “blatant racism” we suffered. We knew why the cops pulled us over. Too many people who looked like us came into that neighborhood, not to secure Chicken Delight, but secure illicit drugs. So, we explained to the police why we were there, and they told us to go enjoy Chicken Delight. It’s amazing how understanding cops can be when you treat them with respect and cooperate.

This is a difference between a civilizational mentality and a victim mentality. When you have a civilizational mentality, you intuitively know you don’t have a constitutional right to be above suspicion. And you intuitively put yourself in other people’s shoes and try to appreciate their concerns and fears. When you have a victim mentality, on the other hand, it’s all about you. You’re awesome, not because you have done anything awesome, but because your skin or genitals have been “historically marginalized,” and now everyone has to bow down to your awesomeness. And under no circumstances are you to think about others or ever give anyone—especially a “colonizer”—the benefit of the doubt.
