There are plenty of things dominated by the historically marginalized. Black Americans are vastly overrepresented in the NFL and NBA. Women are vastly overrepresented in the teaching profession. And lesbians are vastly overrepresented in the leadership ranks of the Los Angeles Fire Department. But I have never once seen a champion of DEI raise an eyebrow at such anomalies.
Why? Why is DEI never used to help the historically exalted? Don’t whites, men, and straights deserve to be celebrated? Don’t whites, men, and straights deserve to be heard?
Well, sadly, the answers to those questions are as clear as they are disheartening. DEI is just another woke scam. Our Woke Overlords find an “injustice” that victimizes everyone, make a constant stink about it, and then only come to the aid of the victims they like. That’s why the underrepresentation of blacks, women, and gays in anything esteemed or coveted makes our Woke Overlords exceedingly wroth. They like blacks, women, and gays. And that’s why the underrepresentation of whites, men, and straights in anything esteemed or coveted makes our Woke Overlords exceedingly happy. They dislike whites, men, and straights.
But wait, it gets worse. DEI isn’t just a scam, it’s a diabolical subversion of morality. It allows our Woke Overlords to crap on the rights of the people they don’t like, ruin the effectiveness of every institution that matters, and still be regarded as the good guys.
Okay, groovy freedomist, that’s all I got. I say DEI is a scam and an affront to the equal-protection-of-law clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. But what the heck do I know. I’m just some schmuck from a holler in North Carolina. Maybe Americans shouldn’t have an inalienable right to be judged by the content of their characters? Maybe it’s more important for Americans to be surrounded by woke-approved “diversity” wherever their professional and personal interests take them? Let me know what you think when you get a chance.
