A couple of months ago, a Connecticut teacher was arrested for allegedly having sex with an 11-year-old student.

And a lot has happened since this disgraced teacher’s arrest.

In at least two dozen cities, thousands of members of a grassroots group called LTKA–“Leave Them Kids Alone”–have been protesting nightly, demanding that America’s “rape mills” be shut down. And while these nightly protests have been overwhelmingly peaceful, a handful of rogue protesters have nonetheless managed to assault over 100 teachers and perpetrate a billion dollars worth of property damage.

In Seattle, one elementary school has been burned to the ground. In Portland, one elementary school and two high schools have been severely damaged by arson.

The president of Columbia University petitioned the university’s Board of Trustees to close the university’s Teachers College. She said she could no longer allow the institution she loves to be complicit in the training of “future rapists.”

In a New York Times op-ed, Ibram X Kendi declared that public education was “ground zero for the white supremacy movement,” and it was only brought into existence “so white teachers could have their way with black and brown bodies.”

AOC was led to the Capitol Rotunda one unforgettable day in a blindfold. She said the blindfold symbolized the blindness our society has toward “the rape culture that is metastasizing in our nation’s public schools.” She also used this occasion to launch a defund-the-schools movement. At least 200 members of Congress and over 3,000 local officials have thus far joined AOC’s movement. They all carry a blindfold, and they all wear their respective blindfolds whenever they’re on the legislative floor addressing their colleagues or in front of a camera addressing the public.

In honor of LTKA and the defund-the-schools movement, radio stations across the country have been dedicating every Friday to playing Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall non-stop during school hours. And the owners of these radio stations say they will continue doing it until all public schools are defunded.

We don’t need no education
We dont need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!
All in all it’s just another brick in the wall
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall

Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Tubi, and HBO Max have purged all school-related movies from their catalogs, including To Sir, with Love, Hoosiers, Dead Poets Society, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Breakfast Club, Stand and Deliver, and Mr. Holland’s Opus.

YouTube now provides the following context on all videos uploaded by teachers:

Sexual predation is a serious problem in our nation’s schools. Many school employees, including teachers, have sexually assaulted vulnerable students. This video was uploaded by a teacher. You therefore can’t assume it is strictly for education purposes. The possibility that it was uploaded to groom future victims is sadly real.

A Quinnipiac University poll showed for the first time that a majority of parents with school-aged kids now fear their kids will be raped by a school employee.

Connecticut, unsurprisingly, became the first state to grant parents the right to un-school their kids. Parents in that state now have a right to homeschool their children, and any parent who takes his or her child out of a public school is entitled to 75 percent of what the abandoned school district spends to educate a child. And that homeschool subsidy will come out of the school district’s budget. At least 32 other states have similar legislation in the works.

At the US Capitol Vistors Center, LTKA protesters pulled down the statue of Helen Keller.

The UN passed a resolution condemning the “systemic sexual predation” in America’s schools and warned member countries not to send their children and young adults to America for an education.

The Moral Panic That Wasn’t

Save for the Connecticut teacher being arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old student, none of the above happened. And that’s a good thing. The overwhelming majority of teachers in America are good, decent people. You shouldn’t start a moral panic and upend the entire educational system because of one alleged scumbag in Connecticut.

Now an observation and a question: There are just as many rogue teachers out there as rogue cops. Our woke overlords therefore have all the fodder they need to orchestrate a nationwide moral panic against education and teaching—if they want to. Yet they refuse to do so. Why? They weren’t nearly this levelheaded and statesmanlike when it came to policing and cops in the wake of George Floyd’s death. Why does education and teaching get a pass?

Simply put, our woke overlords love teachers and hate cops. Teachers are the tip of the spear of the woke propaganda machine. So they are entitled to infinite tolerance. Rogue actions by our teachers are thus shoved down the memory hole with extreme dispatch. Cops, on the other hand, are the sworn enemy of black Americans—the woke’s most esteemed victims in its woke pantheon of victims. And rather than tell black Americans that they would have far fewer problems with cops if they just did a better job of obeying the law, our woke overlords would rather sow discord. The only thing standing between black America and unmatched wealth and success isn’t its widespread adoption of a subprime culture that promotes unwed motherhood, academic disengagement, and criminal enterprise, it’s “racist” cops. Accordingly, our woke overlords have zero tolerance for bad policing. Rogue actions by our cops are gleefully added to the memory loop—setting the stage for another anti-cop moral panic whenever it becomes politically expedient.

Final Thoughts

Our woke overlords are morally bankrupt losers. But we’re bigger losers. We have the power to dump our woke overlords if we want to. We don’t need their schools, we don’t need their news, we don’t need their entertainment, we don’t need their social media, and we certainly don’t need their politicians. And, yet, we continue to submit to their cultural hegemony.

Okay, groovy freedomist, that’s all I got. Let me know what you think when you get a chance. Peace.

  1. Great post and totally spot on. I do believe folks are wising up, just a little bit. The carnage that AB witnessed when they tried to have team up with a transgender, was simply- Epic. And, it’s happening to Disney, Target, and other ‘for profit’ corporations adopting this leftist ideology. I hope in the future the parallel economy starts to significantly steal market share from all these loony companies and we wash our hands of them for good!

    1. From your keyboard to God’s ears. A parallel economy based on sanity and competency can’t come fast enough. Thank you for your kind words, my friend. Peace.
