I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
—The Who, Won’t Get Fooled Again

Prior to the civil-rights revolution, America was characterized by an unwoke supremacy. It was legally and socially acceptable to treat blacks and communists like crap.

And it was legally and socially acceptable to treat blacks and communists like crap because the cool people back then, America’s unwoke overlords, were fiercely committed to the proposition that blacks were too mentally weak for freedom and communists had ideas that made them too dangerous for freedom. Blacks and communists were thus subjected to double standards for their own good. If they were granted the full complement of Constitutional rights and social niceties, they would not only hurt themselves but they would also hurt America.

Now fast-forward to today. America is now characterized by a woke supremacy. It is legally and socially acceptable to treat whites and fascists like crap.

And it is legally and socially acceptable to treat whites and fascists like crap because the cool people today, America’s woke overlords, are fiercely committed to the proposition that whites are too morally weak for freedom and fascists have ideas that make them too dangerous for freedom. Whites and fascists are thus subjected to double standards for their own good. If they were granted the full complement of Constitutional rights and social niceties, they would not only hurt themselves but they would also hurt America.

Fortunately, the anti-white, anti-fascist Jim Crow of our woke overlords (i.e., Woke Crow) is only in its infancy. America has a choice. It can nip Woke Crow in the bud. Or it can allow Woke Crow to metastasize.

Which way will America go? Will its “new boss” be the same as its “old boss”?

Right now, it doesn’t look good.

    1. Haha! Good point. They are, but they don’t know it. They think that anyone who disagrees with them is a “fascist” and suitable for punching. It’s fun being in charge of all our major institutions and thus the narrative. I’ll explore this further in my next post. Love your keen mind, my friend. Peace.

      1. Yeah, the standard MO of Dems since MAGA has been to accuse him of everything they are guilty of. And the sheep all believe it…

        1. There’s a definite blind spot on the “progressive” side of the political divide. And that was the point I was trying to make with this post. The anti-white crowism of today is eerily similar to the anti-black crowism of yesteryear. But as long as the cool people use their keen minds to rationalize it, and gussy it up with palatable slogans (i.e., “separate but equal” and “diversity, inclusion, and equity”), the average joe and josephine fall in line. We’re a very flawed species.

    2. Ever read the book “Liberal Fascism” by Jonah Goldberg? It supports the thesis (unintentionally) that Mr. Bush’s “kinder and gentler Big Government conservatism” is mere Fascism. I’m entertaining the idea that Both Parties’ core leadership (not rank-and-file) are Fascists in all but name.

      1. Excellent point, Steve. I’m a little fuzzy on the correct definition of fascism. As far as I can tell, it’s totalitarianism that tolerates privately owned businesses–so long as those privately owned businesses bend the knee and assist the government. This way, both parties win. The government gets a powerful ally in its quest to subdue the masses. And privately-owned businesses make money by pushing the government’s tyrannical agenda. Is that a fair definition?

        1. Marxism makes a big deal of the means of production. And the distinction between its ownership and control. Fascism and Communism are mutual heresies of Socialism. Both call for government to control the means of production. They differ in terms of ownership. Fascism lets the rich retain ownership (and profits). Communism seizes ownership of all but the smallest businesses.

Marx wrote when wealth was created with large capital equipment, like steel mills.

Fascism came to America a century ago in WW1. After the war there was pushback against the Wilson’s statist agenda. But it has come back more or less openly. After WW2 guys like FDR and JFK had to hide their admiration of Fascism.

  1. When you say America of the pre-civil rights era treated blacks and commies like crap you’re regurgitating the agitprop of the people running the New York Times. I never spoke an unkind word to any black, nor did my parents who were both hicks from the sticks. Growing up we regularly sang, “Red and yellow, black and white they’re all precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world.”

OTOH, communism is a choice you make that harms yourself and others. It’s altogether right and proper to cast opprobrium at dangerous and destructive people. I agree with Carlo Cipolla that stupid people are more dangerous than the Mafia.

  2. Once again, you have spoken the truth.

I remember vividly my grandfather doing business with a black gentleman. One of the locals said “you gonna take that black money?”

Grandad pulled the bills out of his pocket, said…”you know, his blood is red, his work is good, and his money is green”.

He treated everyone fairly. He insisted we all do so.

Simple fair, and equal treatment is what “should have been” the outcome of the civil rights movement…and the movement needed to happen.

Sadly, now, as you describe, it’s the other way around.

    1. Amen, brother. Your grandad was a true American hero. And god knows we need more of him today. But our woke overlords are determined to turn every American child into a mini Bull Connor. Sigh.
