Let’s Test Their Theory

One of my favorite lines from the movie On the Waterfront was delivered by Kayo Dugan, the fellow with the black wool cap.

I’m reminded of this line a lot because our Woke Overlords have no shortage of theories.

One such theory involved Roe v Wade. For decades, our Woke Overlords told us that the only thing that stood between American women and absolute despotism was Roe v Wade. Overturn Roe v Wade and American women would be cast into the inferno of a real-life Handmaiden’s Tale.

But Roe v Wade was overturned, and abortion is still widely available. Most states allow girls and women to abort their babies during the first trimester. We tested our Woke Overlords’ theory, and it failed miserably.

The exact same thing happened with the Woke theory regarding border security. For decades, our Woke Overlords told us our borders couldn’t be secured without “comprehensive immigration reform.” Apparently, under current law, DHS can’t do anything to stop “migrants” from entering our country at will. Control of immigration has been lifted from the American people and surrendered to foreigners.

But under President Trump, “migration” across our borders has practically disappeared. And as far as I can tell, “comprehensive immigration reform”—whatever the hell that means—hasn’t been passed by Congress. Another Woke theory tested and proven false.

Now let’s turn to the Woke theory that we need third-world immigration to fill the jobs “Americans refuse to do.” Our Woke Overlords have been telling us for decades that working-class Americans have no stomach for dirty work—they’re worthless pieces of shit—and the best policy prescription for this sad state of affairs is to abandon working-class Americans to welfare and vice and import their replacements.

Our Woke Overlords aren’t idiots. And a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut. So, we just may need third-world immigration to fill the jobs “Americans refuse to do.” But we won’t know for sure unless we stop the green-card nonsense and start penalizing business for hiring illegal aliens. It’s time to test their theory.
